I taught at Cherokee Elementary School from 1991 through May of 2000. I was a substitute from 1991-1992, then became a full time teacher in both special education and a regular 4th grade classroom.

I am now operating a small business which includes tutoring students in my home, also giving assistance to parents who are home schooling their children. I have learned computer graphics and programming, and am selling some of my own educational software.

All teachers in the Cherokee school system are encouraged to integrate Cherokee culture with other subject areas, still following the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. I have integrated Cherokee culture in my classroom teaching, as well as my tutoring.

I have included some student projects on this web site.
