Hi, I'm Marvin Monkey.  I am 7 years old.  I'm in first grade.  Have you ever had a day where you felt like nothing was going right?  Well I have...

It all started on a Monday while I was getting ready for school.  First I burned my banana strudel while I was holding the knob on the toaster down to see if I could make it smoke.  Have you ever had a burned banana strudel?  They taste yucky!  My mom thought I did it on purpose but I told her "I did it on accident!"  I had to eat pop tarts, yuck!

Next, when I was getting dressed I put on my banana shirt backwards so the kids at school would think I had a new shirt.  Mom and Dad thought I was goofing off.  I told them "I did it on accident!"  I had to wear an ugly plain old white shirt.

Then while my sister Sara and I were waiting for the bus I decided to see how high I could jump.  I don't know how but I landed on her backpack and crushed her snack.  She yelled at me and stormed off to tell Mom and Dad.  I told them "I did it on accident!"  I had to give her my snack.

When I went in the school I dropped my books because I was pretending they were a bomb.  My teacher looked up and said "Who did that?"  I told her in a nice clear voice "I did."  I said "I did it on accident!"  She took my book away.

That night when I was taking my bath I decided to make a whirl pool.  I sort of got water everywhere.  I told my Mom "I did it on accident!"  I had to mop the bathroom floor.

When I went to bed that night I felt terrible!  When my mom was tucking me in bed I said "Mom, you know all those things I did today on accident?  Well, they really weren't on accident and I'm sorry."  Mom said "I know you'll make better choices tomorrow.  I love you monkey, sleep tight."
