very convenient to enjoying the lakes, forests and streams
of Western North Carolina. Located just outside Robbinsville,
a small town with a population of 700 plus, the rental provides
a small home in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains adjacent
to Talula Creek.
This home offers two bedrooms with full beds and features
central air and heat. A phone is available for local, operator,
credit card, and collect calls. There is a queen-size hide-a-bed
in the living room, letting up to six sleep comfortably.
Relax on the porches and deck on Talula Creek. The full
kitchen, including microwave, dishwasher, percolator, and
cooking utensils, is well equipped for anything you wish
to prepare. Linens are included, and a washer and dryer
are provided for your convenience.
Talula Creek Vacation House creates a wonderful "home
base" for those wishing to explore the surrounding
forest and lakes. The house is within ten miles of four
lakes: Santeetlah, Cheoah, Calderwood, and Fontana (and
Fontana Village). You are also near horseback riding, hiking
and biking trails, and whitewater rafting on the Nantahala
River, the Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness Area, and the
Appalachian Trail. The house is also in a good central location
for pleasant day-trips to The Biltmore House, Dollywood,
the Cherokee Indian Reservation and Harrah's Casino, and
Chattanooga, Tennessee, with all different kinds of festivals
and celebrations dotting the surrounding countryside.
