The Western Carolina Dog Fanciers
Association is an American Kennel Club sanctioned organization
which promotes the enjoyment and sport of purebred dogs.
The club meets on the third Wednesday of each month. The location moves between Waynesville and Webster because the membership ranges over such a wide area of the western counties. For details, please check the Meetings page.

Our first full AKC sanctioned Dog Show is over! It appears it was a great success! There are so many who contributed to that success, giving credit is dangerous, lest too many be overlooked. There were dedicated club officers and members, judges, the great MB-F people who are indispensible, AKC for their guidance and support, the wonderful young people and their supervisors who handled the parking, and so many others who played a part. But the most important - the ones who contributed the most - are the wonderful dog owners and handlers who took a chance on an unknown quantity in a small mountain town, and made it into a very special first (of many we hope) show. Thank you so much for coming and giving us all such a good time.
